Before you start working at Studsvik we need various certificates from you. We require
• Security clearance including record checks
• Drug test
• Medical examination (for work in radiological environment)
• Completed safety and security training (see below)
• Completed practical health physics training (for work in radiological environment)
If you comply with the points above you are entitled to move independently in the Studsvik facility area, provided you have given advance notification and a valid passport. If you do not have one or more of the above certificates you must have an approved guide with you throughout your visit to Studsvik.
Security clearance including record checks
Under "Related documents" you will find links to the forms “Information and consent to security clearance” and “Certificate of completed security screening”. The forms are to be filled in, printed out, signed and emailed to or sent to Säkerhetshandläggare, Studsvik Nuclear AB, SE-611 82 Nyköping, Sweden. Phone +46 155 22 13 13. If you are to work in a controlled area within Studsvik you must undergo a radiological medical examination. You can undergo the examination at your occupational health service or another health care facility. The forms “Health declaration for work with ionising radiation” and “Doctor’s certificate for work with ionising radiation” can be downloaded from the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority website; see the links in the right-hand column.

Training in Health Physics Safety and Security
To gain admission to Swedish nuclear facilities there are a number of training courses that are required, including basic training in safety and security.
Protection and safety
This is a web training about work environment, alarm signals and physical protection and is mandatory for access to the Studsvik industry area. A signed certificate shall be submitted at the reception when you arrive, or sent by email to Säkerhetshandläggare. The course has to be re-trained in three years.

Radiation Protection in Practice
For personnel working in radiological controlled areas. Basic course with lessons and instructor-led practical exercises. Course is held Tuesdays starting at 8:30 either by Studsvik (even week number) or AB Svafo (odd week number). Sign up for the training through or .
Re-training in three years consist of two parts:
Part 1: Web-based training https://kkvgemensam.ghost.se/?language=en-US . A signed certificate shall be submitted to the teacher at part 2.
Part 2: Instructor-led practical exercises. Contact for information.
Preregistration is required to enter the Studsvik facility. Regardless of whether you are security cleared or not pre-registration is required. Contact your contact person at Studsvik in good time before work is to be done.
In the facility there is a contractors' room where you can heat food. There are also showers.
Lunch can be purchased at Horsvik between 11.00-13.00.
